INTERVIEW REQUESTS

Press interview requests can be submitted HERE. Please indicate the subject, media outlet, and how soon you need the interview. Please note that I do not grant interview requests on the subject of gentrification. That also goes for academic interview requests as well (it seems like everyone is doing their thesis on gentrification).

REQUESTS to meet for coffee or a chat

If this blog in anyway encouraged you to consider a move east of the river I am so happy! Welcome neighbor, you will soon discover all the amazing things that make Wards 7 & 8 so great! The views are amazing, the people are lovely, and there is a real sense of community here. Welcome!  Feel free to drop me a line to introduce yourself but please note I don't like coffee and even if I did I wouldn't have time to go out to drink it anyway! Lol! I work a full-time job, have full-time consulting clients, try and write this thing, care for a demanding and anxious dog and sometimes I try to fit in some time to actually sleep. So alas, as much as I may want to, practically speaking there is no way I can honor all of the generous invitations to have coffee I receive. I wish I could! That said, I'm hoping sometime in the near future to host group events specifically for our new arrivals where we can meet and connect. In the meantime, I invite you to attend your Advisory Neighborhood Commission monthly meeting, join the Great Ward 8 Facebook page, the Greater Ward 7 Facebook page, the MPD 7D Listserv and check-out one of the several social and community groups such as the HABA, r.e.e.l., Happy Ours or the Congress Heights Civic Association to start. All of them do great work and they can't wait to meet you!

requests from consultants/gov agencies/orgs to "pick my brain" about my ward 8 connections, outreach, marketing, event planning, etc.

That is called consulting work and I get paid for that. Just like you expect to be compensated for your talents, I expect to be compensated for mine. Historically, east of the river professionals have been expected to volunteer their time while an outside professional/organization/business is awarded a handsome contract to do the very same work! The Advoc8te don't play that. That said, feel free to send me a line to inquire about my rates and a scope of work. I promise I'm worth every penny and then some.
